Terror have made a huge push to promote their brand new album out now on Victory. When frontman Scott Vogel got at me and asked if I would post this song by song run down by his guitarist Jordan I said sure, why not….
Take it away Jordan…
Our brand new album titled "The Twenty Fifth Hour” is out now on Victory Records! When you've been a band as long as Terror has and with 5 plus albums to your name, sometimes it can be tricky to keep people's attention as well as creating a new piece of music you know you can stand behind without falling into the area of complacency. Terror has and always will be a straight up hardcore band and we've never strayed too far from our formula. It is of that mind frame we feel has given us a consistent amount of support from everyone all over the globe and we sincerely can't thank you all enough for sticking with us all this time!
We've never approached an album with any other way then to write energetic hard hitting hardcore tunes with meaningful lyrics with substance. We've experimented with a few things here and there over the years, but all in all you know what to expect from us. This time, in a funny choice of words, I think we wanted to "out-hardcore " our past few records. Is that even possible? Haha! We didn't know exactly how at first, but I feel the mission was accomplished! What you have is 14 songs of short, fast, no nonsense and to the point pissed off hardcore! Nothing more, nothing less! Sing along, stage dive and dance your ass off! -Jordan Posner, August, 2015

"The Twenty Fifth Hour"
Intros have always been commonplace with hardcore. Be it to set the tone for a band's album or a way to hype the crowd up at a show. "We Gotta Know", "Rise and Fall" , "Intro Bust", "Punishment", "March of the S.O.D" ect...the list goes on. Intro's can become timeless as bands 30 years later are still opening their shows with the very songs I mentioned! This was originally a full song inspired by the band Conviction and after many attempts at arranging it around in different ways, we decided that it sounded perfect as an instrumental and added some quick vocals right at the end to get some sing a-longs going! It's got everything you can ask for in a hardcore intro..! Get ready!
"No Time For Fools"
The way this kicks in out of the intro keeps it all going in full motion. Non-stop from the get go! Fast Terror style! Nick jammed this song when he was out in Richmond. I loved the pit riff as soon as I heard it. It calls for some low old school creepy crawl action!
"Bad Signs"
Hits you right away with a fun bouncy chorus with a lot of sing along potential. I always pictured crazy pile ons for this chorus but also with a riff and groove that makes you wanna bop your head!
"Feed The Rats"
The fast verses were originally even faster than they are on this final version! Haha. We wanted that old school Agnostic Front "Last Warning " feel but decided it was too spazzy sounding with the guitar riff so we slowed it down a tiny bit, but it's still quite a fast one! A good old school style song with a hint of Death Threat and OLC.

"The Solution"
For this album we definitely wanted some extra brutal mosh parts that weren't what you'd normally hear from a Terror pit riff, and with this song, I think we nailed it. Especially to have a part like this drop for the chorus. I love the simplicity of this song! 2 parts! Fast as hell verses that have a Cro-Mags/Judge feel to it so you can dive and run around to, then into a CTHC style chorus for everyone to go insane and smash everything around them! Scott sounds angrier than ever on this one too!
"Blinded By The Lights"
The first and one of the only mid-tempo songs on the album. I love how it starts with the drums and kicks in for the verses. This is a very fun sounding song with a cool buildup in the bridge with a lot of dynamics building up!
"Trust No Face"
One of my fav songs on the album. An all out assault!! It hits right away fast as fuck into a breakdown that may make people want to start a riot!! Ben Cook (No Warning) drops a quick guest spot on the mic for this one too!
"Why?"
This song came about quite last minute while doing pre- production for the album. We were sitting on that last riff and the original version of this song was completely different than how it turned out. It ended up with a lot more of an old school Youth of Today or Gorilla Biscuits 7" style as opposed to its original thrashy vibe. Right until we recorded it I still wasn't sold on this song , but once I heard it with the vocals I was convinced! A very cool and flavorful song that breaks up a lot of the other super fast and heavy songs in this album.
"Mind At War"
Another one of my favorite songs on the album and one of the best songs I think Nick has wrote for Terror! We called it the "anti -music" song ‘cuz of its unorthodox and unconventional (at least for Terror) choice of chord progressions and key changes. Great sing a-longs and countless mosh parts in this one! Drink a beer, run around in a circle and then lose your mind for the pits! I love Scott's vocals on this song too! He killed it!
"Snap"
No bullshit, in your face and to the point! That's what's up!
"Sick And Tired"
I came up with this song last minute during the “Live By the Code” sessions. It was originally in a higher key and sounded a little too "punkish", so we dropped it down a whole step. Another fun sounding vibe with this one. Kinda in the vein of "You're Caught". A lot of sing a-longs into Suicidal influenced fast parts!
“Life Goes On”
Another song I had from the “Live By The Code” sessions. We were on a tight schedule recording that album so there were a few songs we didn't have enough time to work on. I'm glad we went back and finished this one. I got the idea of the final breakdown riff from a Bob Marley song! Haha!
“Both Of You”
Probably the darkest song on the record. It's pretty personal and the music fits the vibe perfectly. Starts off slow and stomping for the verses and gets all hectic and fast for the choruses. As hard as it can be at times to pour your heart out onto paper lyrically, Scott really opens up in this song, much like he did with "Shattered" and that makes for some of his best vocal performances in my opinion.
“Deep Rooted”
A very anthemic song that would fit right at home on "Keepers of the Faith"! A cool mid-tempo driving jam that is a great closer for the album.
